Fondazione Don Gnocchi is looking for a junior reserarcher to join the team of the Laboratory of nanomedicine and Clinical Biophotonics (LABION) in Milan.

The selected candidate will work within a project titled "Application of Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of saliva and salivary extracellular vesicles for the early and differential diagnosis of Parkinson's disease - PANDORA", coordinated by Dr. Alice Gualerzi at LABION - IRCCS S. Maria Nascente (www.labion.eu; LABION Coordinator: Dr. Marzia Bedoni).

The project, is part of LABION's research activities on the search for salivary biomarkers for Parkinson's disease and has recently received funding from "Fondo di Beneficenza ed opere di carattere sociale e culturale di Intesa Sanpaolo”.

The project will start by the end of January 2024 and will last for 12 months.

The project involves collaboration with other centers of the Fondazione Don Gnocchi in Italy.

The main responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:

• Isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles from liquid biopsies.
• Raman spectroscopy analysis of biological samples
• Collaboration in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of clinical and experimental data.

A 3-year position of Post-Doctoral Researcher is available in the research team led by prof. Sveva Bollini (Scopus ID: 22933852600; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1076-0823), at IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino, in Genova, Italy from May 2024.

The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work on the ambitious and interdisciplinary AmnioSMART project recently funded by the ERA4Health CARDINNOV programme and aiming at pin pointing the ideal secretome formulation ensuring medium-to-long-term cardioprotective paracrine effects via optimized delivery by smart biomaterials.

The AmnioSMART project will unite internationally renowned Researchers from Italy, Portugal, Belgium and The Netherlands in an interdisciplinary yet synergic Consortium based on active and close collaborative
relationship. The project will focus on a regenerative medicine and tissue engineering approach, combining stem cell-derived secretome biology with cutting-edge bioprinting, human induced pluripotent cell-technology, 3D modelling and spatial transcriptomics for precise administration of paracrine therapeutics.

One research position for 1 year will be soon available at the Department of Experimental Medicine (DIMES), University of Genova (Genova, IT) in the group of Prof. Sveva Bollini (Scopus ID: 22933852600; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1076-0823), starting from 1st March 2024.

We are looking for a Candidate willing to work on a project recently funded by the MUR programme PRIN PNRR entitled: “RECOVERY: pREcise Cardiac Organ-on-chip modeling to improve extracellular VEsicle-based paracrine therapy against myocardial Injury”. The project focuses on pin pointing the anti-fibrotic and pro-regenerative effects of extracellular vesicles (EVs) secreted by human perinatal progenitors and delivered via an optimized injectable hydrogel system to a fully human cardiac organ-on-chip model where human iPSC-derived cardiac micro-tissues can be induced to a fibrotic phenotype.
