Fondazione Don Gnocchi is looking for a junior reserarcher to join the team of the Laboratory of nanomedicine and Clinical Biophotonics (LABION) in Milan.
The selected candidate will work within a project titled "Application of Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of saliva and salivary extracellular vesicles for the early and differential diagnosis of Parkinson's disease - PANDORA", coordinated by Dr. Alice Gualerzi at LABION - IRCCS S. Maria Nascente (www.labion.eu; LABION Coordinator: Dr. Marzia Bedoni).
The project, is part of LABION's research activities on the search for salivary biomarkers for Parkinson's disease and has recently received funding from "Fondo di Beneficenza ed opere di carattere sociale e culturale di Intesa Sanpaolo”.
The project will start by the end of January 2024 and will last for 12 months.
The project involves collaboration with other centers of the Fondazione Don Gnocchi in Italy.
The main responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:
- Isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles from liquid biopsies.
- Raman spectroscopy analysis of biological samples
- Collaboration in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of clinical and experimental data.
