The Demichelis laboratory of Computational and Functional Oncology at the Department of Cellular, Computational and Integrative Biology (CIBIO) at the University of Trento is currently seeking 1 self-motivated individual with a strong background in molecular and translational cancer biology to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on GU cancers.
Specifically, the laboratory is seeking an experimental Post-doc Fellow to lead a project funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH, US).
The project is entitled ‘Clinical Translation of a Large Oncosome-Based Prostate Cancer Blood Test’ and aims at developing a multi-analyte test that includes novel strategies for the isolation of large extracellular vesicles, known as large oncosomes (LOs), from prostate cancer patients’ plasma and subsequent identification of relevant LO-associated biomarkers.
The Institute of Clinical Sciences, Department of surgery, is now searching for a postdoctoral fellow to work with preclinical research, mainly concerning extracellular vesicles and cancer.

The research group is based at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, but also belongs to the Wallenberg Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine (WCMTM) and Sahlgrenska Center for Cancer Research (SCCR), which provides good opportunities for career development and network building. WCMTM and SCCR consist of a large network of research group leaders and their team members within the University of Gothenburg and also well-functioning national collaborations.
Moreover, the research group has access to Krefting Research Center, an exceptionally well-equipped center for research in the field of extracellular vesicles. Fondazione Don Gnocchi is looking for a junior reserarcher to join the team of the Laboratory of nanomedicine and Clinical Biophotonics (LABION) in Milan.
The selected candidate will work within a project titled "Application of Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of saliva and salivary extracellular vesicles for the early and differential diagnosis of Parkinson's disease - PANDORA", coordinated by Dr. Alice Gualerzi at LABION - IRCCS S. The project, is part of LABION's research activities on the search for salivary biomarkers for Parkinson's disease and has recently received funding from "Fondo di Beneficenza ed opere di carattere sociale e culturale di Intesa Sanpaolo”.
